Hello friends! We have been away for quite a while and we have missed each and everyone of you.

It's now spring, and we are loving life and the wonderful weather. I am still teaching the pup how to play properly. She really does expend way too much energy in the art of play. I'll have to keep giving her lessons.

As you can see below, Lucy decided to refrain from too much exercise. I think she may be guarding the bed.

Ah Ha! She moved! After our tiring exercise, I decided on a little nap. The youngster tried to steal part of my bed, but I didn't give in. I guess she decided that having her hard noggin on the ground was better than nothing at all.

After sunning and resting Mom called us in for treats....We love her. As usual I'm the prettiest in the picture!!

Hound Limo

Hello all!! We've been working very hard on our new ride. As you can see from the elegant decore we have chosen, it's a beauty. The plastic mat that catches drool and mud shimmers in the sun. The plush blanket is as soft a a summer cloud. Mom says the toys are for our limo only, and we only get them when we ride the open road.

After all of our very hard work, making the hound limo a success, we are resting....ahhhh.

Hello friends,

We've been away for awhile, and need to catch up.

First, we must painfully say that our beloved brother, Tigger has crossed the rainbow bridge. He was a very old man and we like to think he enjoyed his life here with us. We don't have any recent pictures for you, but we carry his picture in our minds every day.

Next, our sister Lucy was very, very sick for a couple of weeks, and spent a week in the doggie ICU. She is feeling much better now, as you can see below. She let us all know, that since she has been sick, she can no longer sleep on the floor, and must have the most comfortable beds!

Our mom had surgery too, but there are no pictures of That! Our Grandma came and stayed with us as mom recovered. Grandmoms are the best!!! She sneaked us treats when mom wasn't looking and spoiled us lots! Mom is feeling much better, and Grandma has gone back home. We'll miss her alot.

Our very old brother Rex, has been feeling poorly due to old age, but is hanging in there,still wagging his tail, and fussing at the pup.

As you can see, the pup and I have been working very hard to keep the household in order during these times. It's a very tough job, but someone has to do it!!

The abandonment

It started out a sunny, pleasant day. I was just trying to enjoy a little sun, thinking of taking a nap, when.....
the noise started.....barking, and growling, and the sound of bodies being slammed unceremoniously against the house....the girls thought it was play time....

I put a stop to it right away! I need my beauty rest, and I couldn't take a nap with all that commotion!

The girls started to wind down, and my thoughts returned to pleasant dreams..... Suddenly we heard a noise!

It required our utmost concentration. You can't tell, but I am concentrating the hardest.

This was a serious problem. We needed to check the perimeter for intruders, and defend the homestead! Off we went.....

Hey, where are my peeps?! Abandoned and left alone to defend the homestead.

Sometimes it's really hard to be in charge.....

Hi everyone, Sky here. I talked mom into letting me have my own post one the blog.....don't tell Cookie. Mom wanted to know if all the loose skin around my face would move with me when I play....I guess it's a yes!! We're on our way to school, and Mom wanted to know how far I could stick my head out. Well, I could have gone farther if she had let me! Besides her mirror needs to be washed.

This is my sister Echo, and myself, at class. We look alike don't we?

Here I just couldn't resist a pose.

You can tell us apart from the front and the back. I have a spot on my back, and she has one on her nose.

I'm really glad I had my day on the blog. I hope Cookie won't mind too much. I don't think she will, mom said she was breaking out extra treats today!

gifts from friends

We received wonderful gifts from our friends Moco, Foley and Dawson, a few months ago. Our "big" computer was down, so it's taken us awhile to say THANK YOU.

The problem is....no matter how many times the picture is taken, we can't see the treats......yes, there were treats!!! Lots of them!!! But where are they now???

Well it seems that Cookie girl , was so very hungry the day the package arrived.....and well, now the treats are gone forever.

But she REALLY loved the cool toy.

She carried it around and chewed forever....by the way this is quite a sturdy toy.

but then......it was spied by another......

Stolen, right from under her nose!!

Now she's just showing off....

Hello to all of our friends out there. It has been soooo long since we've been able to get mom to post. To top that off, we haven't been able to visit our friends blogs either. Don't worry guys, we're coming!!
In case you're wondering why there are so many pictures of the kid, it's because mom wanted to show every one how much she's grown.....who cares, all I know is she takes up more room on MY couch.
Oh let me not be remiss.....mom wont' tell you, but all that dirt behind the kid, is what SHE dug out of the flower pot. Not that I'm a rat or anything.

Then....she had the nerve to sit in MY chair, and chew on MY bone!!! It's blatant disrespect for her elders! See how she is posing for the camera? I'm giving her my most sever look, and it's not working.

feather pillow party

Mom heard us playing while she was on the computer. She thought to herself, how great it was we were all getting along. Then she came decided to look and see what we were doing to have such great fun.......

How were we to know it was her favorite feather pillow??????

There we were covered in all the evidence. We weren't very stealthy, this go round. We'll have to try harder next time. However the exuberance of flying feathers, can't be matched!!!

There was the little white one, trying to look innocent. Just because you can't see the white feathers on her.

Then there was a true innocent bystander.........

It was a great feather pillow party! Next time you find yourself alone with a feather pillow, we recommend you introduce yourself to the feathers inside. It will make for a GREAT day!

Christmas Cards

We would like to thank EVERYONE for our wonderful Christmas cards!!!!!
We love them, and even ran out of space, so had to put them in 2 places.
I decided that I should be in the picture with my cards.....(ok they were our cards, but I am the leader of the crew)

Then I had to sit back in my favorite chair, and admire my handy work. I told my mom exactly where to put each one. So they are perfect! I even had her put the yule log on the tv, for a greater visual. It's all about the effect you know.

We hope everyone had as great a Christmas as we did!

Mom wanted to take some pictures of us for cards. But we couldn't all stay in one spot long enough. So these are all she got. Lucy is really a natural born model, don't you think?

The kid, Sky couldn't stay awake long enough to be a ham...or eat the camera.

I wasn't about to move out of my favorite chair for that foolishness. I'm beautiful, no mater where I am. Unlike the others, I don't need the stage....after all, the world is my stage!!!

We would like to thank all of old and new friends for our holiday cards. We will try to thank everyone individually, but you know mom is rather slow on the computer thing. So THANK YOU ALL!!!

Mom bought a new quilt for the couch. Rex thought he would try it out first. He was looking for some peace and quiet....

Well, he really didn't get any peace and quiet, but I mean really? Did he expect it???

Sky loves the new quilt. It does look nice with her coloring.

It, OF COURSE, looks better with MY coloring!! To bad Lucy is in this picture, or it would be perfect!!!

OK, it doesn't look so bad with her either........

Maybe I'll have to get mom to buy a quilt that looks good with only ME on it!!!

Full Moon

When mom took us out the other night, there was a really pretty full moon. So she took some pictures. I'm not sure why, after all, it's always in the sky, you just go out and look at it...

Then she decided to take pictures of us, at night, outside. Well, these are what they call bloopers. Mom said, we moved so fast that the camera couldn't keep up at night. Her camera must be really slow. I mean it's not like we are super sonic or anything...well, maybe baby Sky is, she really doesn't stop moving.

Lucky for us all mom was able to get a good picture of my beautiful self. Look how my eyes shine in the flash. It's like stars coming from the heavens!!!!!!

Rocks

Mom had to post this.....We eat our food pretty fast. As in, 0 to 60 in one second. Mom was going to buy us those special bowls, that slow down our eating with lots of obstacles. Well, a friend told her to put a big rock in it, and it does the same thing....for free. So she did. Now I have to find all of my kibble around a big rock. It takes me twice as long to eat my yummies. But as long as I get yummies, I guess it's ok.PS. MY bowl has the prettiest rock!!!

Hi there everyone. Well it's been awhile since we posted. Lucy has been busy in that time. She seems to think she is the queen of MY outside karanda......She denies breaking it, even though....as you can see, she is on it....and yes it's broken.

I took a picture of it, as evidence in case I'm able to press charges. Is it vandalism if the vandal lives in the same house?

mom came to the rescue and fixed MY favorite sunning spot!

Look, the new leg is.....welll....good as new!

Now look who is on MY bed.....Well, when it breaks again(from her of course) I'll take pictures for further evidence.

Now she's just rubbing it in....

I'm soooo tormented......my beautiful self lying of this hard concrete.

Oh, for those of you who are in the know......Little Sky is coming home to us this Thursday. We can't wait. We hope she squeaks like the cats when we sit on her!

We would like to introduce the newest member of the family. Her name is sky, and she is Echos, sister (from the Zoo Crew). They will be coming home on the same day! She was 4 weeks in this picture and She will be coming home at 9 weeks.

She is also special needs, like Echo, but may have a little hearing. We will also train her in sign language, and if she can hear a little, words as well. Looking forward to having her home!!!

Ok, Mom has this book out, and has been looking thrue it ALOT!! She keeps repeating different names, and rearanging the house. We don't know what's going on, but we are in deep thought about it. It is going to require some serious meditation to get to the bottom of this......

We went to the dog park today. It was Lucy's first time. Mom has taken a long time to take us, because Lucy sometimes doesn't play well with others. She, of course, misbehaved, and we had to leave. Don't worry, no dogs were harmed in the experiment. Mom made Lucy were a muzzle. So we got back home and she beelined for all the comfy furniture. I guess she was glad to be back! By the way, has anyone noticed how long her neck is? I haven' t said anything to her, she is a little sensitive.

I took the opportunity to play with my stuffy, and lounge on my outside bed. I love the dog park myself, but it does were me out, because everyone wants to be my friend. It's alot of work being so social.

Rex, was excited to get there, then was ready to go after 2 minutes. He is after all a senior citizen and gets tired very fast. Mom even bought him a special leash so he can lag behind on our walks.

Next time we will remind mom to bring the camera on our excursion, and not after wards.....

We went for a wonderfully long walk today. We saw amazing sights, and were thrilled when we got to go an extra block. When we got home Rex and I realized how tired and hot we were so we enjoyed a lounge on the cool kitchen floor. I tried to push him over a bit, so I could stretch to my fullness, but he wouldn't budge. Since he is old, I decided to rearange myself for him.

Then as we were resting, young Lucy heard the word "Treat". That single word sounds like the trumpets of angels from heaven! It has the power to move the earth, and me from a comfy spot!

So of course I had to get up to see if the word was real......it was! Fabulous treats followed. Rex was to shy to sit for his in front of the camera. We however had no qualms about it.

Such a wonderful day!! We hope you all enjoy it as much as we did!

PS, the collar on Lucy is for her school only, and isn't a tourture device. She is pretty hard headed, and trains much better with it.

Since we had no pictures of brother Rex on our last post, we decided to give him equal time. Here is his handsome self.

stupid cats

Happy Friday everyone. The zoo crew reminded us we need to keep our mom posting. Our last post told everyone why we were gone for so long. We now have pictures of the stupid "cat rooms", with their new floors(yes rooms are complete with cats, yuck). Why are there special rooms for the cats? We should be able to go where ever we want, right? The cats can come and go from these rooms, but we can't. It's a plot to take over the affections of our mom, I'm sure. I'm going to speak with Mango, and see if he has any ideas how to thwart this atrocity.

This is what Lucy and I think of those rooms. We are very unimpressed! Lucy kept sticking out her tongue in disgust, but mom is never quick enough with the camera.

We're BACK!!!!!!

We're finally back!!! We have been after our mom to get back on line. The computer room has been off limits, because the stupid cats needed tile in "their" rooms. I don't know why mom couldn't just put the computer somewhere else. She said it was all taken apart.....blah blah blah...

Well, to make it up to us, she gave us bully sticks. These don't stink like the other ones (although she still makes us eat them outside) We like the stinky ones better, of course, but we'll take these in a pinch. See how beautiful I am with my stick???

We are soo happy to be gack in the blogging place. We were worried everyone would forget us. Mom said not to worry, noone could forget us.....and she actually rolled her eyes. What was that about??? We'll post pics of the stupid cat room, when we can so you can all see what kept us from you.

Red Handed !!!

This is what mom found when she came home from work today. Lets just say she was less then pleased.

My sister Lucy Lu, was caught in the act. (not too bright on her part, if you ask me)

Then she kept it up, like not even concerned that moms face had that red look, and she was muttering under her breath. ( that's a warning to leave the room, for all of you that don't know)

Suddenly, as if coming to her senses, she realized she might be in trouble, and tried to throw the blame elsewhere. Poor Rex, always a scape goat.

Then she stole it back, and just tried to look cute. Kids these days, no respect!!! I would have handled it much differently. After all, I am COOKIE, and I lead this crew. I'm going to have to teach the young one the finer points of destroying things and not getting caught.

WANTED

This as an add for a new human, who actually writes about us, on a weekly, if not daily basis. Someone who will take pictures of our gorgeous selves, but not act like the paparazzi.

We would prefer that this new human is generous with the kibble, and will give us unlimited treats

We need our tummies rubbed at LEAST 12 to 14 times a day (each)

This human must love drawl, and a river from the water bowl each time we drink(someone who stands waiting to wipe our mouths would be a plus)

We would like to go for outings twice a day, and Lucy would like to drive, as I am busy with my head our the sunroof.

We want be to chew on our pizzels, IN THE HOUSE, and ON THE COUCH! (yes, we
finally got to try them)

Love the sunroof

Here we are, all ready to go cruising. I have a favorite place in the car........

It's with my head out the funroof. I'm the perfect height, to stick it right out there.

Mom says I should be careful, since there is an airport nearby, that the planes don't hit my head, since I stick out so far. She is going to put a flashing light on the roof of the car, so the planes can see me.

I love the sun on my skin and the wind in my face. I just need a scarf, and I could be the red baron!!

Mom says that if the wind hits just, right my jowls start to flap, and it looks like I'm about to take off. She says it's so funny, one day she had to pull over she was laughing so hard.....that's not a compliment is it?

Who cares, I'm foot loose and faancy free when I'm flying in the car.

Hi my furry and human friends. You may notice a change in our blog page. Rebecca Miller with a Artistree Blog Designs at http://designsbyrebecca.blogspot.com/ , asked us what we wanted, and produced this wonder! We love it. 90% of her proceeds are going toward an adoption fund to bring home a son from China. The other 10% is going to Love Without Boarders. Check out her site. She has examples of past designs. There is a link to her site on our sidebar too.
I think she gave the crew what they wanted, and gave me the amount of attention I deserve, as leader of the crew, and just the right amount of bling, for the fabulous canine woman I am.

Hi Puppers, mom decided to try her creatvie side.....and this was the result. For all the time she spends chasing us around with the camera, we were hoping her skills had improved. Well, what's a dog to do? She is apparently unable to capture our true beauty, but we'll let her keep trying. Perhaps in the future she'll take more becoming photos. Oh, by the way, we don't know who the first guy is. She threw that in there, just to add insult to injury.

A big thanks goes out to Mango, for introducing us to so many fine pooches. He has posed the task of posting 7 things about myself that no one knows. After great thought and deliberation, here they are......
1. I snore louder than my mom.
2. I steal things from my moms work bag, and bury them in the jade planter, for later consumption.
3. I love every 2 legged human on the face of the earth....especially the little ones!
4. One time I stole candy from the counter, and ate the whole bag. Then when I pooped, the yard sparked with shinny candy wrappers!!!! No pictures available.

At this point, since I am leader of the crew, I will mention a few unknowns about my siblings....

5. When Rex passes gas, he looks surprised, and jumps up to see what is back there, making noises.
6. My kitty brother Ollie, likes to play with doggie tails, when they are wagging. He especially loves Rex's fluffy tail.
7. My sister Lucy Lu, is baaaad! She can jump the 6 ft. fence (makes my mom worry), and she hasn't learned how to play gently with the kittys yet. (she put Ollies whole head in her mouth!)
Good thing she didn't swallow!

Mom left us at home this

Today, I stole a bag of treats off the counter, then blamed it on my sister. Mom seemed none the wiser. It's going to snow tonight, and I'm hoping it's alot, since I LOVE to play in it.
We had a GREAT dinner tonight. Mom forgot to buy our food, so gave us chicken and rice. Boy, I would love that everyday!!!!
